Saleha Islam

I have been privileged to have a professional background for over three decades working in the field of child welfare, psychotherapy, mental well- being and Islamic psychotherapy.

In addition, I have led several national organisations as CEO and Director.

I have gone through my own journey of self-discovery.

I am professionally trained and certified in several fields

Social work

Solution focused psychotherapy

Islamic counselling

Science of the nafs coaching

Aafiyah healing

I have worked with organisations, individuals, couples, families and groups to create lasting change for them.

In over three decades of professional intervention in peoples lives, there is nothing that I have not dealt with ranging from sexual abuse, trauma, mental breakdowns, marital issues, domestic abuse and the list goes on.

I have worked in statutory and third sector organisations so my working knowledge of these agencies also allows me to help my clients.

I am often asked to do media interviews on issues that affect us all.

Just prior to the pandemic I decided to go freelance, it has been the best thing that I could have done, this move allowed me to rediscover my passion in life and who I am meant to be in the world.

I have also gone through my own development, learning and growth, I have been privileged to work and learn from some of the best people in the field of Islamic psychology and western psychology.

I am grateful to Allah SWT that he has allowed me to develop my own unique way of working with people now as a coach and therapist.

I have learnt so much about myself and how we human beings operate and how we can become optimal human beings exactly as Allah SWT created us and the Prophet Muhammad SAW came to teach us.

Perfecting character is part of healthy psychology, and we have the Quran and sunnah as our manuals which have all the answers to help us attain the best if this world and the hereafter.

However, because we have not been taught the psychological truths that are in the Quran and sunnah we do not benefit or cultivate the wealth of knowledge and transformation that it holds for us.

As one of my teachers always reminds us information is not transformation, it is a process of learning with someone who has gone through a journey or discovery themselves and has come out of the other side transformed.

The biggest challenge for us today is not overcoming the external world but understanding and overcoming our internal world.

The phrase to know yourself is to know your Lord has never been more relevant in this world of turmoil.

To be the best version of yourself is not a luxury it is a duty!

No holiday, spiritual or otherwise, no money, cars, position, fame or success will lead you to inner contentment. So if you want that inner peace I invite you to come on a journey with me to transform your life and reconnect with your true self.
